Sizing and Fit Guide

Clothing should work with your body, not against it.

Most workwear in India is built on Western templates that do not reflect Indian proportions. Indian women naturally carry more fullness at the waist and high hip, yet global size charts are graded mainly on height and bust. The result is familiar. Tight at the tummy. Loose elsewhere. Uncomfortable in motion.

Aeris begins with real Indian body data.
We prioritise the waist and high hip to create a clean silhouette and a comfortable drape that moves with you. The result is smoother fit, less cling and more accurate first try sizing.

The outcome is simple. Better fit. Fewer returns. More confidence.

How to Measure

Use a measuring tape. Stand straight. Keep tape level and parallel to the floor.

Waist
Narrowest part of torso, above the navel.

High Hip
Fullest part of the belly and upper hip, above the seat.

Hip
Fullest part of the seat, feet together.

Bust
Across the fullest part of the chest, tape flat and snug over undergarments.

Bicep
Mid upper arm. Measure around the widest point.

Tip: Hold the tape firm, not tight. Breathe normally.

Why Bicep Measurement Matters

Sleeve comfort depends on the upper arm.

A few millimetres too tight can restrict reach, create pulling at the armhole and cause discomfort during movement. Bust and waist do not predict arm fit. Grading sleeves using bicep data creates more inclusive sizing and prevents the most common return reason in tailored workwear.

India Specific Body Composition

Research consistently shows that South Asians carry more visceral and abdominal fat at lower BMI levels compared to Europeans. Waist circumference thresholds for health risk are lower for Indian women, at 80 cm. This is why sizing based only on height, bust or full hip fails to deliver a comfortable and polished fit.

Building patterns around the waist and high hip first creates balance, improves drape and supports confidence.
